Audi Sport

Audi Sport has been responsible for the success of the four rings in motorsport for 35 years. From the legendary original quattro for the World Rally Championship in 1981 to the latest Le Mans Prototypes and DTM racecars, every racecar was developed by Audi Sport in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm.

However, customer racing, the Audi driving experience and the sportiest production cars– the Audi R8 and the RS models – are a part of the Audi Sport family as well in which the company bundles its complete racing expertise.

In motorsport, Audi deliberately competes in racing series’ that exhibit a close technical relationship to the production line models and allow technology transfer. Be it quattro driver TFSI or Audi laser light: many new technologies originate from motor racing.

During the 2015 season, Audi is committed as factory to the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with its highlight the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the DTM. In customer racing, Audi relies on the GT3 race version of the R8. Completely new in 2015 is the Audi Sport TT Cup, with which Audi helps young talents break into motorsport.
