The petrol engines offered for the Audi TT, with 4 and 6 cylinders, are extremely powerful and at the same time efficient. As the first sports car to feature TDI® diesel technology and quattro drive, the Audi TT 2.0 TDI quattro is unique in its class.
The Audi TT Coupé 3.2 quattro is powered by an ultra-compact 6-cylinder engine delivering 184 kW (250 bhp). This powerplant fascinates not only with its expressive six-cylinder sound but also with its high torque of 320 Nm in the range from 2,500 rpm to 3,000 rpm. The enormous power reserves of this engine accelerate the Audi TT Coupé 3.2 quattro from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, or in 5.7 seconds with the optional S tronicS tronicFaster gearshifts, sportier driving: the S tronic combines the sporty characteristics of a manual gearbox with the advantages of an automatic.S tronic ®. The large-capacity 6-cylinder unit, despite its high power reserves, makes do with 10.3 litres of fuel per 100 km, or only 9.4 litres per 100 km with the optional S tronic®.
The 2-litre turbo engine for the Audi TT Coupé 2.0 TFSITFSIAudi was the first manufacturer in the world to combine petrol direct injection with turbocharging in large-scale car productionTFSI , with an output of 147 kW (200 bhp), guarantees supreme sporty performance, too. The modern 4-valve unit reaches its high torque of 280 Nm across an unusually wide range of 1,800 rpm to 5,000 rpm. With these figures, the sprint from 0-100 km/h is completed in only 6.6 seconds, or only 6.4 seconds with the optional S tronic®. If equipped with quattro®quattro®Vorsprung durch Technik: quattro® technology stands for permanent power to all four wheels distributed between the front and rear axles.quattro® permanent four-wheel drive, this is shortened again to only 6.2 seconds. Despite this impressive performance the TFSI® engine uses only 7.7 litres of fuel per 100 km.
The 1.8-litre unit for the Audi TT Coupé 1.8 TFSI develops 118 kW (160 bhp) from a displacement of 1.8 litres; the maximum power of this engine is reached over a particularly wide engine speed range of 4,500 rpm to 6,200 rpm. The torque of 250 Nm is also available across a broad range from 1,500 rpm to 4,500 rpm. This engine’s fuel consumption is a very respectable 6.7 litres per 100 km.
Consumption figures and emission values:
Fuel consumption, combined: 6.7-10.3 l/100 km
CO2 emissions, combined: 155-247 g/km
A sports car that consumes 5.3 litres of fuel per 100 km would have been considered an impossibility until recently. The Audi TT Coupé 2.0 TDITDISynonymous with muscular torque delivery and outstanding efficiency: TDI. Today, TDI engines are sporty, smooth and economical.TDI quattro with its powerful 2-litre TDI® engine and output of 125 kW (170 bhp) strikes a particularly impressive balance between sporty performance and minimum consumption. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 7.5 seconds.
The TDI® unit uses the latest-generation common rail system. Its piezo injection technology achieves enhanced refinement, while reducing emissions and consumption.
