The TDI engines
The Audi A5 Coupé 2.0 TDITDISynonymous with muscular torque delivery and outstanding efficiency: TDI. Today, TDI engines are sporty, smooth and economical.TDI with common rail technology and a power output of 125 kW (170 bhp) delivers a powerful 350 Nm of torque. The Audi A5 Coupé comes with a choice of two six-cylinder engines: the 2.7 TDI with 140 kW (190 bhp) in conjunction with front-wheel drive and the more powerful 3.0 TDI with quattro permanent four-wheel drive. The six-cylinder Audi A5 Coupé 3.0 TDI quattro boasts an output of 176 kW (240 bhp) and a torque of 500 Nm. It takes you swiftly and efficiently from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds. The result is spontaneous response whenever you need it – and unprecedented driving enjoyment.

The FSI engines
Audi used FSIFSIGetting more out of every drop of petrol.FSI technology very successfully in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for several years. All petrol engines use this technology in the Audi A5 Coupé, and are also fitted with the new Audi valvelift system. It is here in particular that the advantages of FSI technology become noticeable: thanks to the direct injection process, the fuel is burned more quickly and more efficiently. When combined with the Audi valvelift system, which reduces internal engine friction, the result is outstanding performance. The 3.2 FSI engine, for example, sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in an impressive 6.1 seconds.

This means swift acceleration and impressive pulling power from virtually every speed range. The 2.0 TFSI engine is available with two output ratings: 132 kW (180 bhp) and a dynamic 155 kW (211 bhp). Both versions can be combined with either the sporty 6-speed manual gearbox or multitronicmultitronicThe multitronic® is a continuously variable transmission.multitronic . The powerful 155 kW (211 bhp) 2.0 TFSI engine is also available with quattro permanent four-wheel drive.
