24h Le Mans – Race Facts (Hour 9)

Audi Sport Team Joest’s three Audi R15 TDI prototypes were running in third, fourth and fifth positions in the Le Mans 24-hour race at midnight.

Benoît Treluyer touched a deflector in the chicane before start-finish line damaging the front splitter. Due to the nose-change the number 8 R15 TDI, now driven by Marcel Fässler, dropped again behind the number 9 "sister” car (Timo Bernhard). Allan McNish (#7) passed the #007 Lola-Aston Martin moving him to fifth position.
