On July 18 in Ingolstadt, Audi Tradition celebrated the centenary of the brand: “100 Years of Audi” at the Donauring.
Almost all the competition cars in use at any time in the brand’s history were taken to the historic race course in Ingolstadt’s old town centre for demonstration runs. Although heavy rain fell from time to time, the public was delighted to see and listen to the sound of these witnesses to Audi’s motor sport history in action. Another treat for enthusiasts was to see the drivers of these cars: the list included world rally champions Walter Röhrl and Hannu Mikkola, Harald Demuth, holder of two German rally championship titles and Le Mans drivers Allan McNish, Marco Werner and Lucas Luhr.

Auto Union Type A racing car (1934), Auto Union Type D with twin-supercharger engine (1939), Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO, Audi 200 quattro TransAm, Audi Rallye quattro A2, Audi Sport quattro S1, Audi Sport quattro S1 “Pikes Peak”, Audi V8 quattro DTM (GTC), Audi R8R, Audi R8 with “crocodile” paintwork, Audi R10 TDITDISynonymous with muscular torque delivery and outstanding efficiency: TDI. Today, TDI engines are sporty, smooth and economical.TDI , Audi R15 TDI, Audi A4 STW, Audi R8 LMS and the Audi A4 DTM entered in the 2007 season.
