Michael Dick was born on January 5, 1952, in Schrobenhausen (Bavaria).

He began to study Mechanical Engineering in 1973 at the Munich University of Applied Sciences.

Michael Dick began his professional career in 1977 at AUDI AG, working initially in Quality Assurance, where he assumed responsibility for various task areas with the emphasis on Quality Planning.

From 1988 onwards, he was Main Group Leader in the Quality Improvement area, and in 1993 was appointed Head of Quality Improvement, Vehicles and Systems.

Michael Dick joined Volkswagen AG in 1995 as Divisional Head in Central Quality Assurance, taking up the same position two years later with responsibility for Total Passenger Car Development.

Michael Dick returned to AUDI AG in 2003 and was Head of Total Vehicle/Chassis Development, Pre-Series Center and Project Steering until January 12, 2007.

Since January 13, 2007 he has been the Member of the Board of Management for Technical Development at AUDI AG.
