
Frank Dreves was born on August 15, 1952 in Höxter (North Rhine-Westphalia).
After training as a fitter with the Gronemeyer company in Höxter, he remained with the company until 1975.
He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Paderborn from 1975 to 1981.
He started his career at AUDI AG in 1982 as a technical clerk at the plastics foundry/hardening shop. He then worked as a planner and group leader in Production Planning from 1985 to 1987.
In 1987 the mechanical engineer moved to SEAT in Martorell as Head of Production Planning (Paint Shop/Assembly Main Department) until 1992.
After holding various posts in Production Planning (Head of Assembly and Body Shop) in Ingolstadt, he was entrusted with responsibility for developing the Curitiba plant in Brazil in 1997 in the capacity of Project Manager.
From 2000, he headed the Assembly Production Area at Ingolstadt, then assumed responsibility for Overall Planning within the Audi Group in mid-2001.
Frank Dreves occupied the post of Plant Manager for the Audi Ingolstadt plant from October 1, 2004 to January 31, 2007.
On February 1, 2006 Mr. Dreves became Member of the Board of Management for Production at AUDI AG.
